My day with my buddy (Lucy)

Today or pen-pal class came to our school to see what our school is like and to meet us in person. My buddy Lucy and the rest of her class were so excited and so were we. Firstly we me and Milan led them to our classroom and we got together with our buddies. We showed them around the school. When we got back they taught us how to make a paper slide and then we videoed it. After morning tea we done six different science experiments they were all so cool. After lunch we done the best experiment, diet coke with mentos. It was a cool explosion. Afterwards was the sad part, saying goodbye. But the good thing is that we will see them soon in term four!

Wearable Arts 2013

The wearable arts had a recycled theme this year. There were four categories that we could enter into; futuristic, mythical, vintage and street wear.  If we did not want to enter the show we could use our skills to create an accessory such as footwear, hats, ties or bags. We had lots of people enter in our classroom. Tonight is the show and we also have the school dance groups, glee and choir performing too.

The NED Show

When Toby met Clyde.

On Tuesday Clyde and Ned came to clevedon school to do a show. They showed us tricks with yo-yos. It was very enjoyable and entertaining. The best bit was he did it all for free! After the show we were told that we were aloud to buy yo-yos. There was the Ned yo for $9.00c, there was the boomerang for $14.00c, and the cosmic spin for $19.00c. I bought a boomerang.

Our celery experiment

We put pieces of celery into containers of yellow dye, red food colouring, green food colouring to see what would happen. The dye and colouring travelled up the stem of the celery and out into the leaves just like water would from the ground.
