Our assembly

On Thursday the 27th June we ran the senior assembly. We had worked hard all week preparing it.

Class captains Zach and Alex organised the class with tasks that needed to be completed by Thursday or what to say on the day as a MC for a particular part of the assembly.

It all went without a problem and the parents enjoyed listening to our narratives (thanks Charlotte and Tobin), learning about what we learnt at the museum (thanks to Kate and Grace) and got to watch our movie about our trip.

Room 7 you did a fantastic job and worked together to accomplish a great assembly. Thank you to Miranda, Lucia and Caitlin who helped run all the technology and music that was needed. You all worked hard and should be proud of your achievements!

Our trip to the Auckland Museum

On Monday 24th June we went to the museum with the Kauri team. We have been studying ancient civilisations and their systems this term so we went to have a look at the ancient artefacts and have a classroom session on ancient Egypt and archaeology. We had fun in that class remaking a potter vase, an ancient roman toilet seat, building a sieve and learning how to use an ancient egyptian drill.

Here are some photos of our trip.
